Quickstart
From a wallet holding USDG or a Robinhood stock token on Robinhood Chain to a margined position in a few minutes. The desk is open continuously, so there is no session to wait for: every step below works at any hour.
What you need
A wallet on Robinhood Chain holding a little ETH for gas and something the desk takes as collateral. Collateral is any asset the desk lists: a stock or ETF token issued by Robinhood Assets (Jersey) on the chain, held in your own wallet whether you bought it on Robinhood and withdrew it to the chain or bought it on the chain itself, WETH, or USDG, the chain's dollar, which counts as cash collateral. There is no faucet and no demo account: the desk shows a connect prompt with nothing to view until a wallet connects, and what it then shows is your own book. The demo chain and the Robinhood Chain testnet are mock deployments with faucets, where every flow below is clickable without funds.
Connect to Robinhood Chain
| Setting | Value |
|---|---|
| Network name | Robinhood Chain |
| Chain id | 4663 |
| RPC | https://rpc.mainnet.chain.robinhood.com |
| Currency | ETH |
| Explorer | https://robinhoodchain.blockscout.com |
Connect on the Account page, with a wallet in the browser or, where the build offers it, through WalletConnect from a wallet app. The app switches the wallet to the chain above before every transaction and offers to add the network when the wallet does not know it, so the table is for adding it by hand. Gas is paid in ETH on the chain itself.
Your first position
- Deposit collateral. From the desk overview, deposit a collateral asset. Custody sits in the
MarginAccountscontract, booked to your address rather than a pooled wallet; withdrawals are allowed whenever equity stays at or above initial margin. - Check your buying power. The overview shows the USDG you can draw against the basket and the current margin rate. Each asset carries one initial requirement that never changes with the clock, so the buying power you see at 3am is the buying power you see at noon.
- Buy an asset. Pick a market, enter a dollar amount, and review the order ticket: it previews the desk fee, the debit after, buying power after, and the venue fill against the Chainlink mark before you confirm. The order fills in one transaction, on the route the Uniswap Trading API found across the chain's pools or on the asset's pinned pool when no route is served or the route is refused, and the confirmation says which.
- Watch the debit tick. The margin screen shows interest accruing every second and the time of the next daily charge, which runs every day at 00:00 UTC, weekends included.
The desk margins at the mark; the fill happens at the venue, and the ticket shows the fill against the mark before you confirm, labelled Expected when the figure is the route's expected output, Exact when the api has simulated the fill the pinned pool would deliver, and Estimate while a quote is loading or only the pool's at-the-price figure is available. The gap is the pool fee plus impact against wherever spot sits, on the buy side and the sell side alike, and it is whatever the ticket quotes. On top of it the desk charges its own fee on every trade, 0.20% of the notional, shown on the ticket as the desk fee; a forced sale and the daily charge carry none.
Depositing to the vault instead
If you would rather fund the desk than trade on it, the Cash vault page takes USDG deposits at NAV. Your deposit earns the interest margin users pay, less the protocol share; withdrawals queue for 2 days and pay at claim-day NAV, served strictly in request order. Before depositing, read what the vault carries that the desk cannot protect it from, on the cash vault page.
