Introduction

Callside is an always-open margin desk on Robinhood Chain. Deposit stock tokens, ETF tokens and crypto as collateral, draw USDG buying power against the whole basket, and carry one maintenance requirement across every position, at every hour of every day.

The name is desk slang. When an account slips below its maintenance requirement it gets a call, and Callside is the desk standing on the call side of every account: it watches the requirement so you do not have to.

The desk never closes

Everything here settles on chain, so there is no session to wait for and no session to mirror. Buys, sells, deposits, withdrawals, calls and forced sales all work at 3am on a Sunday exactly as they work at noon on a Tuesday. That is the product: one standing requirement per asset at every hour, no off-hours basis, no pre-weekend uplift, no position that has to sit uncured until a bell rings.

The two sides of the desk

Margin users deposit collateral and buy assets with USDG drawn against the basket. Interest on the debit accrues every second and is charged once a day, every day, at 00:00 UTC. One requirement covers everything: there are no isolated positions, no per-market accounts.

Vault depositors fund that USDG through a single public cash vault and earn the interest margin users pay, less a protocol share. Deposits price at NAV, and NAV never moves at the daily charge itself; it grows as interest accrues.

What makes it a desk

  • One basket, one requirement. Collateral value, the debit, equity and the margin requirements are computed across the whole account at Chainlink marks.
  • A ticking debit. The balance visibly accrues interest every second; the charge lands once a day, every day, in a fixed order.
  • Continuous risk, continuously handled. A call can raise and a forced sale can execute at any hour, so a breach is worked the moment it happens rather than parked across a weekend.
  • Real execution. An order runs the route the Uniswap Trading API finds across every Uniswap pool on Robinhood Chain, executed by the desk itself against the Universal Router and measured against the desk's own floor, with the pool the desk's depth measurement pinned per asset as the fallback whenever the route is absent or refused. Every fill is bounded against the oracle mark on a buy and the sale reference on a sell, and the ticket shows the fill the route is expected to deliver, or the pinned pool's, with its gap to the mark before you confirm.
  • Rules over discretion. Calls, grace windows, forced sale sizing, penalties and the write-off waterfall are all deterministic and on chain.
  • Honest about what it cannot do. The stock tokens, USDG and $CALL are other people's contracts, and each carries a power over the collateral in your account that the desk cannot override; the margin account and the cash vault each say what those powers are and what the desk does when one is used.
Mock deployments

The demo chain and the Robinhood Chain testnet are mock deployments with faucets, where every flow in these docs is clickable without funds.
